Glenn also serves as faculty director of the doctoral program at the Rutgers Business School. This program, which has many majors, trains students for careers as business school professors – an opportunity often overlooked by academically oriented students completing bachelor's and master's degrees in the mathematical and social sciences; see the program's frequently asked questions. In a recent ceremony[Video-Low][Video-High] in Prague, Glenn and his colleague Arthur Dempster were made honorary doctors in economics (doctor oeconomiae honoris causa) by the Vysoká škola ekonomická v Praze (University of Economics, Prague). The work for which this honored was bestowed, the Dempster-Shafer theory and other contributions to auditing and finance, is explained in the university's press release and in Glenn's talk at the ceremony. |
